Cedar is used for protection and purification. The cedar bath ceremony is gentle and relaxing and provides healing from past traumas, grief, negativity, and fear.

It is a one-on-one ceremony. You lie on a massage table that has been prepared with cedar and a star blanket in advance. You are covered with a sheet and clothes soaked in cedar water are placed over your eyes and one in each hand. Without touching you, the ceremony practitioner places four more soaked clothes over your heart. They then pull them down your body. This is repeated four times. The practitioner will also use other items from their bundle before debriefing.

This ceremony is connected to the grandmother, and is a gentle but powerful ceremony.
